SILKYMOON is a luxurious lace-weight yarn designed for knitters and crocheters.  72% Kid Mohair and 28% Silk - Silkymoon combines the airy warmth of mohair with the smooth sheen and drape of silk.

With approximately 210 metres per 25g ball, Silkymoon is ideal for lightweight shawls, scarves, wraps and sweaters. Its fine construction creates beautifully soft fabric, whether used on its own or held together with another yarn for added texture and warmth. 

Inspired by the colours and landscapes of South Africa's Karoo region, Karoo Moon's hand-dyed palette offers rich, nuanced shades that bring depth and character to every project.

 All our yarns are made in small batches and dyed by hand. This means that from one lot to the next there may be slight variations in colour. If you are knitting or crocheting an item with one solid colour and are unsure of the amount that you will need, we recommend adding 2 or 3 extra balls to ensure there are no tonal variations. Plus who really wants to stop mid way to place an order when you are having some much fun?

Washing Instructions:  Hand wash. To dry your garment or Karoo Moon products, lie flat out of direct sunlight. Warning, please do not bleach, iron or tumble dry, as this may discolour or damage your item
